A busy life is a waste. Working all day is not considered ideal these days because time management is a skill that very few professionals own.
To be precise, everyone has too much on their plates, which is a challenge every day. Without planning, they end up doing nothing and wasting time.
Time management improves productivity and helps your mind to become a reminder of your priorities.
Choose not to waste time by following rules:
Track your time- Time is your greatest asset. By analyzing which task is taking how much time, You can get an accurate picture of how you are using your time. Set a timer on your phone or laptop to accomplish a particular task. This practice will also help you to get in a flow state of work.
Eat the frog first- Try to finish the difficult and challenging tasks first. It will help you to get through the day and keep you in the mood of completing the task. Keep easy jobs later for the day. To boost your mind, change locations and take 5 minutes break when you are working.
Set goals and deadlines – Allocate your short term goals, mid-term goals and long term goals. Start your month with an intention, write down your plans for the week and divide the projects in the days. This practice will boost your mind and keep you motivated. Every day when you get up, write your to-do list, do not start your day without a plan. Avoid checking Instagram stories and Facebook feed first in the morning. Social media is a time-waster and distraction.
Enjoy what you do- enjoy the process and love your chores. Writing emails or making an excel sheet might bore you but take joy in every step of your work.
Self-care is complementary to productivity- Exercise, yoga, Meditation and relationships are an integral part of your life. Eat a healthy and balanced diet. Keep yourself hydrated. Journal before you go to bed. Look at the calendar every day and note down your daily personal progress.
